Dear Students,
As previously shared, myLFBI experienced a cyber attack a week ago Friday that disrupted the platform and caused some data loss. While no sensitive information was compromised, the incident was clearly intended to create confusion and hinder the work of the Institute. We know the timing was difficult, and we are reminded once again of the subtlety of the Enemy in opposing God's work.
Over the past 11 days, our team has worked diligently to restore the platform, and we are pleased to let you know that myLFBI is now back online and ready for student use.
However, there are a few important updates to share:
-
Lost Coursework (June 19–22): Unfortunately, some student submissions from June 19–22 were lost in the attack. Those assignments will need to be resubmitted or retaken. Please check your course environment and student dashboard and contact your instructor if you have any questions.
-
Semester Extension: To ensure you have ample time to complete your work, we are extending the summer semester by two weeks. The new end date is Saturday, August 16 at 11:59 PM (CT).
-
Change of Password: As part of our effort to improve security, all students will be STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to change the password on their accounts. Instructions for setup are available HERE.
-
Technical Support: If you encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact Romeo Bagunu, at his email rbagunu@lfbi.org.
We deeply appreciate your patience, prayers, and continued support. LFBI is a small team serving a large student body that is counting on us to deliver sound doctrine. We know the enemy would love to hinder this work - - pray he is ineffective and that we are fruitful.
Isa 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands.
In Christ,
The LFBI Administrative Team
