Summer Semester is off and running

Hello Everyone,

First and foremost I want to say welcome to another awesome semester of LFBI. The self-pace courses are intended to help you get caught up, grow and learn in a time of the year when you might have more flexibility in your schedule. But there are a few pro-tips to consider when beginning your summer courses...

1) Self-pace does not mean "put-off". If you wait to listen to lectures you will end up in trouble. In order for this to work you need to listen to at least two lectures a week if not more.

2) Have you really read the syllabus? If you haven't yet thoroughly read the syllabus, particularly the "required assignment" section then you need to do that ASAP. To win in the self-pace world you have to be looking ahead.

3) Start your reading assignments now! Several of the classes have reading assignments which means you might have to order or download a book. Start reading immediately. Two months is not necessarily a very long time to get a book read (especially for the slow readers - you know who you are).

4) Self-pace is only a blessing if you don't fail. Self-pace is meant to be a blessing, but getting your work turned in must be a priority. The last assignments will be due by July 18th at 11:59pm - - and don't forget it. The classes are not built to trip you up but if you aren't paying attention you will end up with unsatisfactory results.

I hope this is a reminder. We love you and we know that if the content gets in your heart that it will strengthen you and contribute to your growth as a leader.

Love,

B.
